Under the slogan:

“Let’s add some real nudes to this world full of hyper-capitalized bodies that we are so bored of!”


about 50 WLINTA* * took part in the Your Selfie Is Iconic! open call. The participants were asked to send the artist Hannah Doepke their selfie nudes taken in moments of self-discovery which were taken for their own sake and to satisfy no one but themselves. These selfies could show parts of their body that they find attractive, parts that they are just discovering, or parts that they don’t like but they wish they would. Each participant decided what and how much they wanted to share!


* Invited to participate were only (WLINTA*) Women, Lesbian, Inter, Non-Binary, Trans, and Agender People. And everybody who experience sexist discrimination.

Hannah Doepke is a conceptual artist based in Dresden whose interdisciplinary practice explores social integration, collective collaborations, and engaging with socio-political issues through installations, performances, sculptures, and videos, often centered around themes of care, community, and feminism.
